Sorry about this, I've had another customer report the same problem and think that you've been supplied with the wrong cable. The cable should look
like this.
If it doesn't then I'll need to send you a replacement. What I think has happened is that we buy those cables in bulk (bags of 100) from our suppliers, and we may have got a few microUSB cables in the last batch. We've then just put them into our kits without checking the ends carefully enough (afterall, surely a USB cable is a USB cable...
).
