Path Loss Calculator
See our other Electronics
Calculators.
This calculator computes the power that a
receiving antenna receives for a given transmitting antenna for a given
power for a distance greater than one wavelength for line of sight
transmission. The greater the frequency the greater the path
loss.
Equations:
Prx= Ptx*Gtx*Grx*( (lambda)/(4*PI*d) )^2
OR in dB
Prx= Ptx(dB)+ Gtx(dB)+ Grx(dB) -
20log(4*PI*d/lambda);
The last term is the path loss.
