Dubious license -Nard 05:27, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
KeepImage does contain metadata, and doesn't look overly polished (for instance, there appears to be a bit of red-eye left over in the photo). This web site seems to back up the claim in question. Unless there's some substantive evidence of problems or specific reason to believe the attribution is false, I think this image should be kept. Crotalus horridus 11:28, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Description: author „Marcus Cancelo“; EXIF data: „Paul Smith“. --Polarlys 11:41, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- And Paul Smith's website from the EXIF data is here.

- OK, this user's uploads definitely have problems.

- Some more problems with photos originally uploaded by en:User:Imageboy1 at the en-WP:
- Image:Kay Panabaker.jpg is the same as ©wirimage.com, photo ID 6287031, photographer: Amy Graves, date: 23 Oct 2005.
- Image:Jennifer Garner.jpg has a wrong description: At the Children's Defense Fund 2006, she wore different clothes. The image was evidently taken at the Hollywood Film Festival - 10th Annual Hollywood Awards on Oct 23, 2006. (None of the WireImage photos is exactly the same as ours, though.)
- Image:Amanda Bynes.jpg has a missing description again: taken at the premiere of Robots in L.A., 6 March 2005.
- Image:Avega1.jpg indeed is from the Sin City premiere, 28 Mar 2005, and does not match any of the WireImage photos. But the original upload at en-WP said "Photographed by Carlos Marcia, of Los Angeles Daily Report. Public Domain." But en:User:Imageboy1 claims his first name was "Roger", and that he was working for the Santa Monica Celebrity Report.
- Update: copyvio from Getty Images: Photographer Frazer Harrison/Staff. Lupo 21:51, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Image:Elizabeth Hurley.jpg: at the Serving Sara premiere, she wore different clothes. The image was taken at the WWD Black, White and Diamonds Pre-Oscar Party, 21 Mar 2001.
- Image:Brenda Song.jpg: is the same as ©wireimage.com, photo ID 6591322, photographer E. Neitzel, date: 22 Nov 2005.
- Image:JoJo 2006.jpg was uploaded on 15 Dec 2006 at en-WP. It's the same as 12th image from slide show at KRBE. ©KRBE, or bohemianphotography (Houston, TX), or Nothin' Negative.
- Image:Mileycyrus2.jpg is the same as this much larger photo at miley-cyrus.com.
- That doesn't look good at all. Some may have been taken by en:User:Imageboy1, but some others clearly are not his images. For a full list, see upload log at en-WP. I've asked the user to comment here, but the user has been inactive there since May 8, 2007. The uploads of his account here as User:Imageboy1 also need checking. Lupo 18:02, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Here goes:
- Image:Erika1.jpg: ©Bob D'Amico/ABC
- Image:Holly marie.jpg, claimed to be taken in June 2003, at a promo event for Charmed. Really? Compare with these photos from August 2002, where she wears exactly the same clothes!
- Image:Mileycyrus.jpg: this much larger photo at miley-cyrus.com. See also here: "thanks to HannahMontana.net for some of these."
- Image:BeverleyMitchell027.jpg: based on the clothes, that would be from the Scream 3 premiere, 3 Feb 2000, not from a 2003-02-28 "press conference for T-Mobile", as claimed.
- This needs some really good explanations. Lupo 21:24, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- I should add that all this makes me feel rather uneasy about Image:Britney-Spears082.jpg, too. Lupo 21:51, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Ok, I'm not going to hunt down the rest, it just takes too much time. I've found copyvios from wireimage.com and Getty from a variety of photographers, mis-attributions, wrong location statements, and so on.
Delete all uploads of User:Imageboy1, including Britney Spears, as well as all images of his that have been transwiki'd to the Commons. We may lose a few images that he might indeed have taken himself, but this user is IMO no longer trustworthy. Lupo 21:59, 12 January 2008 (UTC)
- Update: even that "Santa Monica Celebrity Report" doesn't seem to exist. Their alleged internet presence looks very amateurish, has next to no content, is stale since Feb 1, 2007, and in general looks like someone just set it up to fake the existence of such a paper. Of the three images they show at [1], the third is a Getty image again: photographer Vince Bucci. The Google results for "Santa Monica Celebrity Report" are also very interesting: a grand total of four hits: the user's user and talk page at en-WP, the fake site mentioned above, and this very page here. Lupo 21:52, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
- And Image:Britney-Spears082.jpg comes from here, part of a whole set of which I cannot find any attribution. Lupo 22:13, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
Delete ALL per lupo. Clearly the user uploader these photographs with the intent to pass them off as their own. Can we get the user in question blocked ? Megapixie 05:37, 13 January 2008 (UTC)
