Summary[edit]

Description
English: Dorp Straat in the Bo-Kaap showing the colourful houses of Cape Malay community and the Auwal Mosque - the oldest mosque in South Africa. The Bo-Kaap is on the slopes of Signal Hill, adjacent to the Cape Town CBD which is in the middle distance while Table Mountain, the most distinctive feature of Cape Town, is in the background. The whole area is classed as a South African Heritage site
Afrikaans: Dorpstraat in die Bo-Kaap, bekend vir sy kleurvolle huise, is 'n woonbuurt van die Kaapse Maleirergemeente. Die Auwal moskee (op die regterkant van die beeld) is die oudste moskee in Suid Afrika. Die beeld wys ook dat die Bo-Kaap lê op 'n heuwel (Seinheuwel) vlakby die Kaapstadse middestad. Die hele gebied is 'n Suid-Afrikaanse erfenisterrein
