Description

Gentiana newberryi var. tiogana — photo mislabeled Gentiana algida

English: Clump of Sierra alpine gentians by a high altitude lake, at the West side of Golden Lake (N of Mono Pass) in the Yosemite National Park area, Sierra Nevada, California, USA.
  • Consulting the Jepson Flora (Berkeley) and CalPhotos, it appears that this should actually be identified as Gentiana newberryi var. tiogana, with common names Sierra alpine gentian or Tioga gentian.
Français : Touffe de gentianes (Gentiana algida) près d'un lac d'altitude, au nord du col de Mono Pass, dans la Sierra Nevada, en Californie (États Unis d'Amérique).
