Stadtmuseum Fürth[edit]

Hallo, ich habe gesehen, dass Du mein Dateiupload wieder rückgängig gemacht hast. Allerdings kann ich dies nicht ganz nachvollziehen, da ich eine nahezu identische Perspektive genommen haben, allerdings in einer deutlich höheren Auflösung und ohne den hässlichen Bauzaun auf dem „alten“ (ersten) Bild. Weiterhin heißt das Museum schon seit langem nicht mehr Stadtmuseum Ludwig Erhard Fürth, wie das alte Bild suggeriert durch das Banner rechts neben der Tür, sondern einfach nur noch Stadtmuseum Fürth. Diese aktuelle Information wäre im aktuellen Artikel demzufolge auch zielführende, weshalb ich das alte durch ein neues ersetz habe. Was wäre dein alternativ Vorschlag? The old photo has been uploaded to Wikimedia Commons four years ago on 17 August 2014 by User:Wdwdbot. In order to keep stability, the file should not go through any major changes. Dear 4nn1l2, I saw that you tagged 7 files as photos without permission. I suppose that you cannot read spanish because in the links of every file is the discussion with the author of each picture. I asked them if I can upload their files and they answered yes. You can read the talk in twitter. I explained them that I want to upload their files with a CC By.

If you have any doubt I can ask them for a declaration of permission but this is that they did.

What do I have to do to test the permission if it was already indicated on twitter?

About that Cesare Maria De Vecchi Portrait[edit]

uh yeah you removed my file from the Cesare Maria De Vecchi jpg. I overrode the file of him being poorly cropped out of a photo from the march of Rome and replaced it with the photo from the Italian wikipedia. Why they are different I don't know, but the Cesare Maria De Vecchi.jpg from it.wikipedia is an actual portrait while en.wikipedia is the awful bloated image from the march on Rome. so if it could be changed back the would be nice. @Scu ba: The originl image (File:Cesare Maria De Vecchi.jpg) has been uploaded on 20 February 2018. You should not overwrite it with a completely different image. @4nn1l2: yes i am aware of that i am talking about the fact that the Italian URL of the same exact image has an actual portrait that was uploaded in 2014. Seeing how the URLs are the same and seeing that the one on the english wikipedia is 1. not a portrait of Cesare, 2. Younger then the actual portrait. I think that the image should be swapped out for an actual portrait of the man instead of some bloated, poorly cropped image of him from the march on Rome, before his political career really became a big thing --Scu ba (talk) 10:53, 16 August 2018 (UTC)

Здравствуйте. Я новичок и никак не могу разобраться с вопросом загрузки изображений. Мной создавалась страничка "Чудо-Юдо" (мультфильм). Постер загружала с сайта "Кинопоиск", ссылку на источник указала, а файл все равно удалили. Обосновали, что это не свободный файл - https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Puancetia Как загрузить файл и где прописать, что он не свободный, чтобы его не удалили? В мастере загрузки не нашла ничего похожего, не понимаю как добавить постер к описанию :( Буду очень благодарна за помощь!

Hi Puancetia, Wikimedia Commons does not accept fair use media files (e.g. movie posters). But according to m:Non-free content, Russian Wikipedia allows that. Therefore, you should upload the poster locally to the Russian Wikipedia. 4nn1l2 (talk) 12:39, 23 August 2018 (UTC)

Permissions: Help?[edit]

Having just spent the best part of a day uploading digital photographs, with more forthcoming, I have just received the following alert: https://commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/User_talk:DMTrott

This has stopped me in my tracks. I have generated an email as suggested and sent it to permissions-commons@wikimedia.org. Is that enough? I am really not sure what else I can do about this. The only other route I can think of is to place something hidden on the books website. Could you help me out here?

Mirka Mora image[edit]

Dear @4nn1l2:, you have put file Mirka1963.jpg on Mirka Mora up for deletion. I appreciate your vigilance as a WP editor, but please, can you explain, and reasonably soon (this is distressing after Mirka's recent death), your reasoning in doing so? This is the background. In 1963 Mirka made the charcoal drawing as a gift to my father, J. Brian McArdle, whose portrait of Mirka I also uploaded into the article, via Wikimedia Commons, where it is available to anyone to use (as had already happened - it's a lovely portrait). The drawing, of which I made the copy for the article, has been in the family since Brian's death in 1969. As we, the McArdle family, own the image, I understand that we have the right to the distribution and disposal of the image without consent of the artist's heirs under Australian copyright law. And the Ministry clearly stated in footer: "Дозвољена је репродукција у целини и деловима уз обавезно навођења извора." - The reproduction in whole or in part is allowed with mandatory citing. @Arianroshan: سلام. خیر. این جملهٔ «استفاده از مطالب با ذکر منبع بلامانع است» که در پایین اغلب وبگاه‌های ایرانی دیده می‌شود، مبهم و ناکافی است. چون حداقل دربارهٔ دو موضوع مهم سکوت می‌کند: ۱) آیا اجازهٔ تهیهٔ اثر اشتقاقی/اقتباسی نیز داده می‌شود؟ (به عبارتی دیگر آیا مجازیم مطلب را دستکاری کنیم یا باید آن را عیناً نقل کنیم بدون هیچگونه اضافه و تلخیص)؛ ۲) آیا استفادهٔ تجاری هم مجاز است یا فقط برای مقاصد غیرتجاری، آموزشی، غیرانتفاعی و ... می‌توان استفاده کرد. 4nn1l2 (talk) 13:14, 2 September 2018 (UTC)

@Z1290: Sure, Your photo File:Faez Naqawah wearing a helmet manufactured by CON Technologies, while attending Milipol Paris 2017.jpg.jpg is still hosted on Commons. There is no need to put this photo on a gallery page with all copyright tags and descriptions. The file page serves that purpose. Please read COM:Gallery#When to create a gallery. I would also like to draw your attention specifically to this part: "Galleries with only a single image are permitted if they highlight an image which has been elected by the community as a featured picture, quality image, or valued image." 4nn1l2 (talk) 16:01, 3 September 2018 (UTC)
@4nn1l2: Apologies but what is it exactly that you are asking me to do? If I understood you correct, I over did it with permissions? And does that deserve a speedy deletion, I can simply just remove all resources and permissions if that is what you want? Again, please read Commons:Gallery#When to create a gallery and explain why Commons should have a gallery page about a non-notable person with only a single image. Galleries should be created with a specific purpose. 4nn1l2 (talk) 16:13, 3 September 2018 (UTC)

I do not see any solutions for this particular problem. You have created Faez Naqawah again like an article. Please note that here is Wikimedia Commons, not Wikipedia. Articles should be created at Wikipedia. Multimedia files (such as images and videos) can be hosted here at Commons. Hello. I just restored this file due to an email that the author sent to OTRS asking for it to be undeleted (ID in the file history). I'm not actually sure what "EXIF --> FBMD" means, but that doesn't look like a reasonable deletion rationale to me... Can you explain? Thanks. Mike Peel (talk) 23:14, 7 September 2018 (UTC)

Hello Mike Peel, that means the file has been taken from Facebook. If this is indeed their own work (as they have claimed own-work), they had better upload the original file. By the way, I have nominated at least a dozen of files for speedy deletion with this rationale, and they have all been deleted by multiple admins so far.
