Merci !
- Bien cordialement,
- -- AlNo (discuter/talk/hablar/falar) 14:44, 29 August 2008 (UTC)

- Bien cordialement,

Re: import d'images de Flickr[edit]

Image:Euphonia violacea.jpg[edit]
The problem with this image is that while you are correct in that the flickr image is suitably licenced, you forgot to add the licence tag to the image. I'll fix it for you. -mattbuck (Talk) 14:29, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
- The best way is to just use the flinfo tool. Each flickr image has an id number (in the url), and you just copy-paste that into the box and it gets the info automatically. -mattbuck (Talk) 15:50, 14 October 2008 (UTC)
Tip: Categorizing images[edit]
Thanks a lot for contributing to the Wikimedia Commons! Here's a tip to make your uploads more useful: Why not add some categories to describe them? This will help more people to find and use them.
Here's how:
1) If you're using the UploadWizard, you can add categories to each file when you describe it. Just click "more options" for the file and add the categories which make sense:
2) You can also pick the file from your list of uploads, edit the file description page, and manually add the category code at the end of the page.
-
For example, if you are uploading a diagram showing the orbits of comets, you add the following code:
-
-
This will make the diagram show up in the categories "Astronomical diagrams" and "Comets".
When picking categories, try to choose a specific category ("Astronomical diagrams") over a generic one ("Illustrations").
Thanks again for your uploads! More information about categorization can be found in Commons:Categories, and don't hesitate to leave a note on the help desk.BotMultichillT 06:13, 21 February 2009 (UTC)

Hi Totodu74, I'm very sorry for the late answer. I don't go often on Commons, indeed. I have uploaded this file under PD-old license, because this image was published circa 150 years ago. There are no restrictions on creating derivative works upon PD-old images, so feel free to make separate pictures. You should license these derivative images under the same license (PD-old). Best regards, Filip em (talk) 21:51, 16 April 2009 (UTC)

Hi Totodu74, when you transfer images from en-wp or another project to Wikimedia Commons you should take care to transfer the high resolution variant including the original EXIF metadata. As you have a TUSC account (see above), you are free to use Magnus' Commonshelper for this task. In this case, Leoboudv was so kind to retransfer this image to File:Sally lightfoot crab 2a.jpg such I could delete the image uploaded by you as low-resolution duplicate. Salut mon ami,

--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 06:59, 22 August 2010 (UTC)

File:Niphargus.jpg[edit]
Bonjour,
Cordialement--Bapti ✉ 19:49, 5 October 2010 (UTC)

--Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 07:16, 3 April 2011 (UTC)

- I've found the publication info finally, and I'm withdrawing the DR. I'd advise you don't upload American works without being pretty sure of the date—I think some illustrations from another volume of this book are copyright. —innotata 15:15, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
Recherches sur la faune de Madagascar[edit]
I don't think you should have uploaded these. As I said on my talk page, it looks like we know the engravers were a firm, we know who the authors are, but not their dates of death, which may be relevant. But the issue is that we don't know who the artist(s) were, and some illustrations have what appear to be a messy signature. You don't seem to have advanced, since you only give the names of the book authors and engravers. Perhaps the artists were the authors, and perhaps you've found that out, but this needs to be given; I can't find out much from the book since it's in French. —innotata 19:12, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- I found nothing really useful except maybe here a signature looking at JKG lith, maybe for John Gerrard Keulemans lithography... But seriously, 1868... I think it is reasonable to believe that the plates are in the public domain, even if we don't know the author. That said it seems unlikely to have problems since the author is not particularly mentioned... It's not to be mean but it's just... tiring sometimes to contribute on Commons. Should I let drawings on fr: wikipédia and let others wikis import it if they're not too procedurial ? =/ Regards, Totodu74 (talk) 19:58, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- No, there's still a small chance these are in copyright, if the artist worked as long as, say, another animal illustrator, Pierre Jacques Smit; this sort of information should always be given. —innotata 23:52, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- File:MegapodiusPritchardiiBuller.jpg also is problematic: Buller was not an artist, and his books were illustrated by J. G. Keulemans, but also P. J. Smit. —innotata 23:55, 8 April 2011 (UTC)
- Damned, he was 26 to the publication and died 97 years old... good for him. What do you think of the JGK-looking signature ? Totodu74 (talk) 08:41, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Otherwise I'm asking that if an illustrator create a drawing for an author the copyright is still for the illustrator... Do you have something on it ? edit : I give an example : when you have a drawing of Mickey Mouse, the author isn't Walt Disney himself, but the copyright belongs to the group. Why it could be different ? Totodu74 (talk) 09:54, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- I think that in France and most European countries, copyright is counted from the deaths of all the authors: the author of the book/article (I'm not sure about this part), the lithographers (but here we know these were a firm), and the illustrator. (The U. S. is mostly based on publication, so Mickey Mouse is a different matter.) I'm guessing that the illustrator died over 70 years ago, and I'll keep on looking. Have you looked at every image for a signature, and in other places where the artist's name might be given (tables of contents, prefaces, etc.)? I think I'll have to look at the Internet Archive on a different computer, later, to see the signatures properly. —innotata 15:11, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- The list of plates is here, but doesn't give any info on illustrator. In the text, nothing more. I've put notes on File:Accipiter francesiae 1868 (2).jpg and File:Ninox superciliaris 1868.jpg were the J is more clear than on the baza picture. I keep searching. Totodu74 (talk) 16:12, 9 April 2011 (UTC)
- Great! I think we can be fairly sure about at least most of these being by Keulemans now, since all the signatures I can find looks similar to these, or some we know to be Keulemans's. It looks like Keulemans signed in a lot of different ways: compare File:AccipiterOvampensisKeulemans.jpg and File:AnasGibberifronsKeulemans.jpg! File:Turdus torquatus 1900.jpg also must be by Keulemans. —innotata 18:17, 9 April 2011 (UTC)

Your Comment on FPC Futanari[edit]
I saw your comment ("Whoa") on FPC. I know that this is pornography and i also know that not anyone is happy with such an illustration. But at least im interested to hear your thoughts about it. You commented it with "per Steven Walling". He only stated "A supremely high quality illustration that we think represents the very best of Commons educational content? Not a chance." for the reason. Could you please explain me why you exactly opposed the image? Im not worried about the fact that you opposed. Im more interested in the true reasons. --Niabot (talk) 21:13, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, that's the kind of eye-catching image. I try to detail in other words, even if I've some difficulties with english language : if I agree this is a good quality drawing, I'm not sure that's a good idea to try to put this kind of picture in display among highly interesting Commons content... I found that hentai is globaly unhealthy, and saying "that's the idea" is not really a valuable defense for me. Totodu74 (talk) 21:39, 14 April 2011 (UTC)
- What gives you the idea that hentai is or might be unhealthy? Is there something bad about hentai in general? I'm a specialized writer for anime related topics, which of course includes hentai or ecchi related topics, but i never heard of something like that. Now im somehow interested. --Niabot (talk) 21:46, 14 April 2011 (UTC)

reticulomyxa filosa[edit]
hi Totodu74, your great picture File:Reticulomyxa filosa.jpg shows a species, first descriped (published) in 1949 and the first edition of the book was published in 1931, 4th ed. in 1954. i would love to get an explanation about "1900s" and "Richard Roksabro (1886-?)" (what does that mean?) in relation to the (claimed) PD-art-status of the file. i was wondering how that can be the case and maybe you, as the uploader, can help me to figure that out :), best regards --Jan eissfeldt (talk) 23:41, 27 April 2011 (UTC)
pity for the beautiful picture, i was hoping to have overlooked something important but thx for your quick response & action (o:, all best --Jan eissfeldt (talk) 16:23, 28 April 2011 (UTC)
Requests[edit]
Can you make derivatives of just the sparrows in File:Passer euchlorus, Petronia flavigula.jpg and File:Gecinus gorii, Passer yattii.jpg? And can you make a combination (like the Saxaul Sparrow image; in this order) File:PasserEuchlorus.svg, File:PasserLuteus.svg, and File:PasserEminibey.svg? Thanks! By the way, I'm a bit surprised the French Wikipedians have made fr:Moineau mélanure a good article: there's a lot more to add. —innotata 20:15, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- I'm not very the most capable for this kind of job, but I tried to make a thing not too aberrant on File:Passer euchlorus.jpg. For the Passer moabiticus yattii I'd look maybe tomorrow, for this one there is the possibility of cut out the bird and its branch (with a white background) unless you find it ugly? For the three vectorial birds (I have already prepared a file but I want to be sure) you want something like File:SaxaulSparrowNominatestoliczae.svg?
- For the Cape Sparrow, the good article label is not too requiring, and since the content give infos on each aspect of the animal, with good sources, presentation, etc. it's OK. Anyway it's a good thing to warn me, feel free to let me know when the article will have to be updated. Totodu74 (talk) 23:07, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- Thanks. Actually, though, I was thinking you could remove the background, like a few of your Recerches sur la faune des Madagascar images. For the vector images, yes. I'll be sure to let you know; it's the next one I want to do, so I'll work on it after a month-long trip (to Europe) soon. —innotata 23:39, 7 May 2011 (UTC)
- In fact I was a little afraid to distort the "old" style of the image with a white background (as for Recerches sur la faune des Madagascar). I'll do it as fast as possible. For the svg, is File:PasserEuchlorusPasser luteusPasser eminibey.svg OK? No problem for the Cape Sparrow, safe journey!

Three proposition, feel free to tell me what's wrong. Totodu74 (talk) 13:18, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- They look good, except that the luteus may be too small (which looks like it is something in the original). I'll also make simple crops, but these will be better for things like a table of Passer species. —innotata 13:48, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Hmm, I did not pay attention thinking they were created at a scale, but in fact in this case the Chesnut Sparrow should be the smaller! I correct. (
Done)
- Otherwise, Berichard has found some sparrow on Flickr, here for example, but also here ([1] ff.) a... strange one. Totodu74 (talk) 14:16, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- I've put the euchlorus in use in the table for Passer I'm developing at en:User:Innotata/Passer. As you can see, I've got images for all the Passer except one, cordofanicus. I'll finish the table by changing a few images and adding text on distribution and appearance soon, and I'll let you know so it can be copied to fr.wikipedia. I've added the combination to en:Chestnut Sparrow to illustrate that that the three sparrows may have formerly formed a cline. So these are clearly going to improve the illustrations in the sparrow articles. For the sparrow on Flickr, it's not strange, it's just a Passer montanus that's just had a bath. —innotata 15:01, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- For cordofanicus, it's pretty hard to find an illustration, unless create a svg from a picture... or find a PD-old... (unsuccessful for now)... or ask to a museum...? Totodu74 (talk) 19:49, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- For sure. I haven't even found non-free images on the Internet (though it was the same for shelleyi and hemileucus). I expect an old illustration exists; it's rather similar to other rufous sparrows, which I think is why Shyamal chose not to draw it. I'll look for an image when I get around to working on the article, and will be looking for sources. It's already become quite something on my mind, every time I look at my charts of sparrow images, or Category:Passer, with the one redlink at the top. I'm guessing your suggestion of asking museums is the only possibility other than old illustrations: this is the middle of the Sudan, after all, and I doubt anybody has photos of the bird now. There are only a few skins around, though, most at Tring I believe. Pretty amazing what I've managed to find, and what other users have contributed already, though. —innotata 20:07, 8 May 2011 (UTC)
- Anyway not a lot in the original desctiption (rather special, see this addendum)... and yes, the middle of Sudan is not really the perfect place to holiday or to take photographs... We must see the good side of things : There are a potentially original description and distribution map (p. 79 or 90) to illustrate the article. :) Totodu74 (talk) 15:55, 10 May 2011 (UTC)
- Actually, I have the whole book. Nice to know that the Rufous Sparrow part is free to access—I had no idea Poyser published these samples. —innotata 19:31, 12 May 2011 (UTC)
- Yes, thanks for pointing this out. I'll link this in the articles where I can; I've been looking through the others, and there's plenty of material for Wikipedia, as well as samples that have already confirmed I want to buy one of the books if possible. —innotata 19:35, 12 May 2011 (UTC)

Single Image Galleries[edit]
As a general rule, Commons Galleries with only a single image such as Hapalopsittaca amazonina are not permitted, see Commons:Galleries. I notice that you have created several of them. Do you intend to add more images? Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 18:45, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hi James. To be exact I've created four such galleries, all of those for the same reason. On Commons:Valued image candidates/SpilornisRufipectusGould.jpg, พ.s. said me that the scope needed a gallery. On previous VI proposals like Commons:Valued image candidates/Canirallus kioloides 1868.jpg, the scope was linked to the category:, not in the Main, but I did what we asked me to do :) So I created Spilornis rufipectus, and today, for four new proposals Mesitornis variegatus, Mesitornis unicolor and Hapalopsittaca amazonina. I've no objection if you want to delete it, if this is not problematic respect to the VI proposal. Best regards, Totodu74 (talk) 20:07, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- Hmm. I know almost nothing about VIs, except that I like most of them that I see. If I understand you correctly, the scope of a VI is defined by a gallery. Forgive me, but it seems silly to say, as we apparently do at Commons:Valued image candidates/SpilornisRufipectusGould.jpg, that the image is the most valuable image we have in a scope that contains only that image. That's a lot like saying that you are the most valuable editor among all people on Commons with the username Totodu74 -- true, but not very meaningful.
- It seems to me, therefore, that if an image cannot become a VI unless it has a gallery, and there is only one image that would fit the gallery, then we should enforce the no-single-image-gallery rule. This may prevent an image from becoming a VI in a scope of one, but that is as it should be, I think.
- Rather than delete them now, I'll give you a while to discuss it further with the VI people -- the question has probably come up before. Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 23:19, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- There are some uses for single image galleries, see Commons_talk:Criteria_for_speedy_deletion/Archive/2011#GA1._Empty_gallery.. —innotata 23:30, 24 February 2012 (UTC)
- That was an interesting discussion, but ultimately none of it was adopted as policy. At the moment, an empty or single image gallery is a Speedy, see Commons:Galleries#When_to_create_a_gallery. It is the first entry in the delete reason dropdowns when the namespace is zero (i.e. a gallery).
- "Empty or single image gallery; please see Commons:Galleries"
- Jim . . . . Jameslwoodward (talk to me) 14:19, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- I believe that being the only picture to illustrate a species give a real value to it. I asked his advice to Slaunger, I've no one. Totodu74 (talk) 22:22, 25 February 2012 (UTC)
- James, Sites like the Encyclopedia of Life still rely on galleries, and they are as useful for navigation as any. I don't think existing rules should trump these sensible considerations. If you really think rules are this important, I'll propose they get changed. —innotata 19:05, 10 March 2012 (UTC)

Welcome, Dear Filemover!

Hi Totodu74, you're now a filemover. When moving files please respect the following advice:
- Use the CommonsDelinker link in the rename template to order a bot to replace all ocurrences of the old title with the new one.
- Please do not tag redirects as speedy. Other projects, like InstantCommons, might be using the file even though they don't show up in the global usage. Deleting the redirects would break their file references.
- Please know and follow the file rename guidelines.

Re:« MVRs are "discussed"; "portrait" for paintings »[edit]
Oh, no, no, no. You don't have to. Although efficient, you might not have to change them all. Nevertheless, it's good to change |orientation=
to either increase or decrease transclusion image sizes. "Portrait
" is smaller; "landscape
" is bigger; "panorama
" is wider. You don't have to change |status=
, especially when only one from a scope is "nominated
, but, if another from the same scope is nominated, ...well, let someone change it to "discussed
". --George Ho (talk) 10:35, 7 June 2012 (UTC)
- On the other hand, cmandler said:
I don't know if there is right or wrong about this. --George Ho (talk) 12:34, 7 June 2012 (UTC)“These descriptions refer not to the content of the image but to the orientation. Portrait orientation is generally a more vertical image (taller than it is wide), landscape orientation is more horizontal (wider than it is tall), and panorama is very horizontal (much wider than it is tall). See en:Page orientation. I've reverted your edit to the Yalta Conference VI nomination, but wanted to explain.”

VI of birds[edit]
Hallo Totodu 74, you have a lot of beautiful pictures of drawings of birds, which are really worth to get VIs. But but we can always have a single picture per scope as VI. So it is very difficult to nominate a photo of the same species if we have already a drawing. In addition, a photo is not the same as a drawing. So I propose to add to the scope "drawing", so that we can have both, a VI of a drawing and a VI of a photo. We have the same problem also in other scopes: Archaedontosaurus adds "mounted specimen", for there is a difference between a living and a mounted specimen (we need both pictures for a good description), ans in shells we differentiate beween recent and fossil, if a species occurs as well fossil as recent by adding "fossil" to the scope when nominating a picture of the fossil form. --Llez (talk) 08:37, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- Hello, I have already seen this remark, and it was told that the scope could be changed if one day a photo is uploaded, or something like this... VI propositions are just a way to highlight a little the potential of old drawings, and if you also see a problem I'll put from now (drawing) in scopes. ;) Best regards, Totodu74 (talk) 08:47, 10 June 2012 (UTC)
- I have already made the same recommendation a few months ago. I am always in favor. This will facilitate fururs scopes, for images of living oriseaux that happen in the future. --Archaeodontosaurus (talk) 08:48, 10 June 2012 (UTC)

According to this page, and this page I would suspect this is Anthracothorax nigricollis --Kersti (talk) 20:30, 14 January 2013 (UTC)
- You're perfectly right, thanks a lot ! Totodu74 (talk) 17:19, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
- By the way, as you or Shyamal, I upload old drawings. I use this kind of tables (for birds see this list). It gives a harmonized pre-filled upload form with categories, etc. and enable to see what is done in a volume and what is not. If you like the idea, feel free to adopt it :) Totodu74 (talk) 18:23, 15 January 2013 (UTC)
Picture of the Year voting round 1 open[edit]
Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2012 Picture of the Year competition is now open. We're interested in your opinion as to which images qualify to be the Picture of the Year for 2012. Voting is open to established Wikimedia users who meet the following criteria:
- Users must have an account, at any Wikimedia project, which was registered before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC].
- This user account must have more than 75 edits on any single Wikimedia project before Tue, 01 Jan 2013 00:00:00 +0000 [UTC]. Please check your account eligibility at the POTY 2012 Contest Eligibility tool.
- Users must vote with an account meeting the above requirements either on Commons or another SUL-related Wikimedia project (for other Wikimedia projects, the account must be attached to the user's Commons account through SUL).
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. From professional animal and plant shots to breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historically relevant images, images portraying the world's best architecture, maps, emblems, diagrams created with the most modern technology, and impressive human portraits, Commons features pictures of all flavors.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topic categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you can vote for as many images as you like. The first round category winners and the top ten overall will then make it to the final. In the final round, when a limited number of images are left, you must decide on the one image that you want to become the Picture of the Year.
To see the candidate images just go to the POTY 2012 page on Wikimedia Commons
Wikimedia Commons celebrates our featured images of 2012 with this contest. Your votes decide the Picture of the Year, so remember to vote in the first round by January 30, 2013.
Thanks,
the Wikimedia Commons Picture of the Year committee

Dear Wikimedians,
Wikimedia Commons is happy to announce that the 2013 Picture of the Year competition is now open. This year will be the eighth edition of the annual Wikimedia Commons photo competition, which recognizes exceptional contributions by users on Wikimedia Commons. Wikimedia users are invited to vote for their favorite images featured on Commons during the last year (2013) to produce a single Picture of the Year.
Hundreds of images that have been rated Featured Pictures by the international Wikimedia Commons community in the past year are all entered in this competition. These images include professional animal and plant shots, breathtaking panoramas and skylines, restorations of historical images, photographs portraying the world's best architecture, impressive human portraits, and so much more.
For your convenience, we have sorted the images into topical categories. Two rounds of voting will be held: In the first round, you may vote for as many images as you like. The top 30 overall and the most popular image in each category will continue to the final. In the final round, you may vote for just one image to become the Picture of the Year.
Round 1 will end on . Click here to learn more and vote »

File:Phaner furcifer 1868.jpg[edit]
Nice work on File:Mirza coquereli 1868.jpg! I was wondering if you would mind working the same magic on File:Phaner furcifer 1868.jpg and maybe the rest of the lemur plates? The Phaner furcifer image is now being used on the fork-marked lemur article on enWiki, which is now a featured article candidate. – Maky « talk » 23:59, 1 January 2015 (UTC)
- Hello Visionholder! At the time I imported those plates, I used Photofiltre studio and only used the eraser to remove the background. I am now playing with Photoshop Elements, that have a powerful tool to correct the dominant color: you point an area which should be white or pure grey (in our case a blank on the paper) and the software removes the yellowish tint. It is not as clean as erasing the background, but the color are ore close of the original drawing ones. Best regards, Totodu74 (talk) 01:25, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- Thank you very much for the fix! It looks a lot better now. I just forgot to purge when I first looked at it. – Maky « talk » 02:55, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
- And if you have time, there are several more images that could use the same fix at Category:Pollen & Van Dam - Recherches sur la faune de Madagascar - mammals. – Maky « talk » 02:58, 2 January 2015 (UTC)
Would you also mind applying the same correction to File:Black lemur 1868.jpg, File:Cryptoprocta ferox 1868.jpg, and File:Eulemur fulvus mayottensis 1868.jpg? I will probably put these files to use once they're cleaned up. (You are much better at this than I am.) Thanks! – Maky « talk » 21:38, 6 January 2015 (UTC)

Technique[edit]
Hallo Totodu74, thanks for you interest in my work. I have a Canon with a 60mm Tamron Macro objective, which allows, with additionally macro lenses, to make photos of shells down to 7 - 8 mm. For smaller specimens (1 - 6mm) I use a Binocular with an UCMOS14000KPA (see [2]). I photograph the shells with a black background (in some cases also beige or grey). The technique is about as discribed here [3], but with some differences. 1. To avoid reflections I use a kind of light tent to get a diffuse light. 2. I make a focus stack of each view (10 - 20 photos per view, that means, each plate of five views is made of 50 - 100 single photos). For stacking I use Combine ZP. The stacked image is processed in Photoshop. I have already a black background (by using such a background, when I take the photos), but this black normally isn't concolourous. To get such a uniform background, I replace it by another, using this technique [4]. You may ask: Why using a black background when making the photos, when it is replaced after that by photoshop. Doesn't it matter, which background colour I use, if it is changed after? I tried it and I must say no. If you have a brown background, you get (unavoidable) a light brownish shine in the contour of the shell. It looks naturally, if the shell is presentend on a brown background, but strange, if presented on a black background and so on. Therefore: Background always similar to the final background, even if it is changed. Finally, the five single views are mounted to one picture in photoshop. Greetings --Llez (talk) 18:45, 4 November 2015 (UTC)
...Photoshop Elements is sufficient... ;-) --Llez (talk) 16:27, 7 November 2015 (UTC)

Warning[edit]
Don't call people 'nazi'. This is not acceptable. Jcb (talk) 21:06, 12 September 2017 (UTC)
- Hi Jcb. It is, of course, not to be understood as an insult, nor in the historical sense: I didn't call you "Nazi", and I precisely used an hyphen for the epithet not to be dissociated. It was meant to casually refer to the needless strictness of an advice, like it is used in "grammar nazi" and co. I will replace it though, as there are many other ways to express this idea that would not make people jump. edit: it has been removed, and I rephrased the all sentence for it to be impersonal and not salty. Cheers, Totodu74 (talk) 07:26, 13 September 2017 (UTC)
Belette[edit]
Bonjour Totodu74.
Bird identification[edit]
Hello! If you have the time and energy, could you please identify the species?
Thank you! --Hedwig in Washington (mail?) 04:43, 9 October 2017 (UTC)
- Hello, you are correct: it is a Marabou indeed, though it should be named Leptoptilos crumenifer instead of Leptoptilos crumeniferus (the original name was Ciconia crumenifera, for which the correct masculine is crumenifer). Cheers, Totodu74 (talk) 08:09, 9 October 2017 (UTC)

File:Neophron percnopterus distribution.png[edit]
Hello.
Can you add South Sudan in File:Neophron percnopterus distribution.png you uploaded, a well as fill Germany and include South East Asia? And also include the borders of South Sudan in File:Pterocles coronatus repartition.svg (and in other maps you have uploaded or come across where it might be missing as well)?
I am adding South Sudan (as well as Montenegro and other possible missing updates) in the PNG maps in Category:Maps needing South Sudan political boundaries and then remove this category after updating them. There were close to 1100 maps since I started to update these files on 1 March 2018, now it is reduced to less than 670 maps, but there is a long way to go.
Unfortunately I don't know how to edit SVG maps and complicated PNG maps myself, that is why I asked you.
Kindest regards.
