The 1946 issue of Indonesian banknotes was initially designed and circulated in 5, 10, and 25 gulden denominations. However, a second issue (after independence) used the same design (and date) but with a change of colors, and additional higher denominations (50, 100, 500, and 1,000). The re-colored notes (presented above as a specimen set) were put into circulation on 19 March 1950.
