Introducing the FarmBot Developer Documentation Hub
Extensibility has always been a goal of the FarmBot project. That’s why we publish all our hardware and software designs online without restriction, and we enable extensibility through the use of Farmware and a publicly accessible REST API. Now we’re ready to go one step further in empowering our developer community.
Today we are excited to announce the FarmBot Developer Documentation Hub. The documentation is available today as a public beta. With the help of community feedback, we hope to clarify and simplify the process of third-party feature development.
The current version is based off of commonly requested developer inquiries such as:
- How is FarmBot’s software stack implemented?
- Which resources are available on the REST API?
- What does a typical Farmbot development workflow look like?
- What is CeleryScript?
- …and a number of other frequently asked questions
Creating a developer-friendly platform is the next extensibility goal for FarmBot. By creating a set of documents that can be easily understood by developers we hope to enable an ecosystem of third party plugins and applications that allow users to do more with their FarmBots. We look forward to your feedback.
