Ohio State University to use FarmBot in 2019 NASA X-Hab Innovation Challenge
Ohio State University was awarded a 2019 NASA X-Hab Innovation Challenge award that will include FarmBot as the foundational technology for developing robotic end-effectors as well as remote/telemetry controls for conducting plant growth experiments in space that are controlled from Earth. Two student engineering teams will work on the project this academic year to refine a ground-based robotic testbed for 70-plus day crop production that can evaluate multiple crops with the capability to be remotely controlled or teleoperated.
