Control Harmony Hub with Harmony plugin for Tasker via Google Home

One of my biggest complaints about the Harmony Hub is that you don’t have the ability to send individual commands to a device without the need of an activity or manually opening the app to send the command. But, with Tasker, there is always a way. We are going to be using the Harmony Plugin for Tasker made by Tim Forsyth.

On the video above, I’m going to walk you through how to set up the plugin with the Harmony Hub. We are also going to be creating a profile to raise or lower a TV’s volume. The way the profile is going to work is that we will tell Google Home to raise or lower the TV’s volume then IFTTT will pick up the command and send it to a mobile device using Join, then Tasker will use the Harmony Plugin for Tasker to send the command to the TV.
