While we do not offer this as a service, some of our staff are already trained in dealing with SEN children. We will try our best to accommodate anyone that wants to attend but we do suggest that a parent or guardian is there for at least the first 2 or 3 sessions, until they feel comfortable. Send us an email before hand and we can discuss before the session starts.

We will run weekly and monthly invention challenges that will give them ideas and inspiration, but a lot of it is up to them. It could be programming in C or Java, better understanding robotic’s and electronics or perhaps 3D design is more their thing.

Our facilitators will support them in finding out what they are into and help develop and nurture those skills. If they want to build a quadcopter, that’s what they can start building. The possibilities are only limited by their imagination…

No, not at all – the sessions are free flowing and let the kids work on their own projects in their own time. If they miss one or two sessions, it is not a problem.

Rather than charge you a small fortune for a 2-hour workshop which just gets you started and leaves you with nothing to follow on with, we wanted to create something affordable that gave your child a framework to grow. Our sessions take place in high-tech environments, with top class equipment and amazing facilitators.

Our aim is to encourage a love of learning, rather than teach any particular technology. Every week, MakerClub @ EagleLabs is a place where young people can explore their creativity and passion in a safe, exciting space where anything is possible.

For our workshops, we always make it clear on the purchase page, who the workshop is aimed at.

For our after-school sessions at either EagleLabs or at a local makerspace, we have two weekly sessions, one for ages 7-9 and one for 10-16.

You’ll need to check your local area calendar to see which sessions run at which times.

Our after-school sessions run each week and offer a freeform creative space to develop invention ideas and meet like-minded young people.

Our workshops are more focused and only last a certain length of time, like an afternoon. These often explore a single technology idea, like game design or robot making.
