2 layer board of 1.35x1.35 inches (34.24x34.24 mm).

4 x AA serial battery carrier. Bottom plate, masked vias. 12 awg solid core wire should fit through the vias. The bottom side of all vias really should be covered (kapton, packing tape, epoxy etc). At very least the via for the positive connection must be covered.
