Where,

Np/Ns = Turn ratio

Np = Number of turns in primary coil

Ns = Number of turns in Secondary coil

Zp= Input/Primary impedace

Zs= Output/Secondary impedace

 

Example:

Input impedance = 8,

Output impedance = 40

Np/Ns = 0.4472

Ns/Np = 2.2361

Hence Primary turns are 2.2361 times more than the Secondary turns.i.e N= 2.2361 x Np
