NO no the stepper is powered by a seperate 12v supply, its only the light at the moment I have through the Pi 5v pins, just while i get it going then more is available seperately.

mosfet_wiring1.jpg

Ill try this jpg file for the sketch of the mosfet.  its looks right to me????

#2 Re: Help and Support » mosfet low output voltage » 2017-11-20 00:57:28

Hey Bigfilsing

mosfet_wiring.tif

Its fairly simple on the set up I think maybe the power source is best not being the pi itself but I checked the incoming and its 5v, just dont get why its not passing it through
the mosfet is the wingoneerIRF520 from amazon, tried 2 and both the same.
swapped the power roound so the 3 v was to the lights and the 5v to the signal and the output v went to .1v, so seems to be a fraction of the input v.

glad to hear anything

Mike

Hi All

So I now have a 20 3W LED light matrix for the exposure.

I have a mosfet set to the Pi with 3v and signal input, currently 5v in for the light.

BUT

on start up 2.5v hits the lights, when I then open the shutter, this is where the light switch is controlled by( is that correct), then only 0.3v hits the lights.

I dont get it???

Is the shutter switch the wrong thing to use, there didnt seem to be anything else to use.
is the voltage lever then controlled by the servo pulses.

any advice would be appreciated. thanks for reading

#11 Re: Help and Support » stepper engaged but no movement. help » 2017-09-21 11:49:26

ah haa  I appologise  I had the direction and stepper pin the wrong way round in settings.  I have motor control  but

the end stop is reversed. With something in the endstop, its optical, the motor works up and down. with nothing in the it only goes down which is correct if the stop is triggered

I cant see an option to revearse this??

#13 Re: Help and Support » stepper engaged but no movement. help » 2017-09-20 16:50:10

Hi Shahin

Ive changed the spped to 100 and to 100000 with no change. limit switch do you mean end stop as i have that disconnected and disabled

if i type g code in to the terminal nothing happens either.  using the z calibrtation page I get a short buzz and minute movement, nothing more

just in case i tried a python script on the motor and it works fine and moves ok so i know the wiring and motor are fine its something with the settings on nanodlp

All I have is the Pi3, the DR8825, and the stepper(nema17).   WHAT am I missing.

I dont want to go the ramps way this is supposed to work with just what I have.

help please

Hi all

so wiring sorted I think. I can now engage and disengage the stepper.  BUT when I try to move the motors on the plus they pulse once, moving very slightly, on a minus move nothing.

also the mesurements on the z calibration screen move in just less than 5mm increments

then actuator settings are default except micro steps that I changed from 8 to 16 but no difference

any ideas

Think I've resolved it.

Stretch doesn't have the libraries correct yet

Changed to Jessie and I think I'm in business

Bed time now try it late :-)

Hi, thanks for the help.

yes I can ping it fine and SSH and putty works fine too

running manually gives-

pi@raspberrypi:~ $ cd /home/pi/printer
pi@raspberrypi:~/printer $ sudo ./printer
./printer: error while loading shared libraries: libGLESv2.so: cannot open shared object file: No such file or directory
pi@raspberrypi:~/printer $

so I'm missing something arent I

Ok thanks for the confirmation

I have the IP address but putting that in a browser says

This site can’t be reached

192.168.0.35 refused to connect.

and https://www.nanodlp.com/dashboard

says no printer connected?

Where do I get an online access key?

Hi

I have been trying to get this working for the last 2 days to no avail.
I'm trying to build a printer like Ionel Ciobanuc but there isnt much info about how things are linked in his videos. As far as I can see there is only the Rpi and DRV to control it all.

once installed it seems to run, I get a blank screen but cant find the printer/pi on the dashboard.

After trying to load it afresh I have notice I'm getting

cp: cannot stat '/home/pi/printer/distro/generic/req/*': No such file or directorydir

just before the optimize rpi question.

Is this the problem, I'm missing something from this folder??

Any help is appreciated an I apologise if this has been asked before

Mike
