How much voltage are you supplying to your setup? I read some where that if a supply of 5.25V is applied it will be enough to account for the voltage drop based on the high loads.

Thank you mandreas for your response. how did you manage to get your platform to go down a notch in the resin after that layer is exposed and come back up to the next layer? Just like in your video. which settings are responsible for that?

I am new to your forum, I have just stumbled upon your great software. Now I am excited to build my own top down 3d printer using direct control.
however there are some things I want to understand first:
1) Which software is used for support generation, and do you have plans to include this feature in NanoDLP?
2) What is the sequence of the program for direct control? For example:
Under "Printer Profiles"
"Edit Profile" Settings
"Normal Layers":
-Layer Thickness = 30Micron
-Cure Time = 4 Seconds
-Wait Before Print = 2 Seconds
-Wait After Print = 0025 Seconds
-Lift After Print = 0.035 millimeter
-Wait After Lift = 2 Seconds
"Burn In Layers":
-Number of Layers = 3
-Layer Thickness = 45 Micron
-Wait before print = 3 Seconds
-Cure time = 8 Seconds
-Wait after print = 0.035 Seconds
-Lift after print = 0.045 millimeter
-Wait After lift = 3 Seconds
Is this what goes on in the actual operations?
A. Platform moves to first layer
B. Wait before Print = 3 Seconds
C. Projector display image (Cure Time = 8 Seconds)
D. Wait after print = 0.035 Seconds
E. Lift after print = 0.045 millimeter
F. Wait After lift = 3 Seconds
Repeat steps C to F for the remaining 2 layers (Burn in Layers), then continue to G
G. Projector display image (Cure Time = 4 Seconds)
H. Wait After print = 0.025 Seconds
I. Lift After print = 0.035 millimeter
J. Wait After lift = 2 Seconds
Repeat steps G to J until no more layers are left and the proceed to homing position.
3) What is the purpose of "Platform Wait Position" and "Resin Depth", not sure what setting to place for these, for a Top Down setup with Direct Control.
4) How should I setup "Motor Speed" settings can I leave these blank?
5) How should I setup "Advance Setting" can I leave these blank?
6) What can I use with "Lift After Print" setting to let the Platform go down a notch in the resin after that layer is exposed and come back up to the next layer? Just like mandreas setup in his video
Sorry for these many questions, I just wanted to understand fully how it operates and what setting controls what. I have a Raspberry Pi 2 with Rasbian Wheezy operating system and already loaded your NanoDLP software to it. Later I will use Jessie Lite operating system. I have seen the schematic for direct control, I will get the parts and beginning making the circuit.
