Some difficulty with RPi GUI

Postby jamesdinsmore » Sat Apr 05, 2014 7:54 pm

Following the instructions from your downloaded manual (https://www.dawnrobotics.co.uk/content/pi_co-op.pdf), the command line Python blink program works fine; but when I attempt to use the Pi's graphical environment, open its terminal, type "Arduino"; the Arduino IDE does come up, (with the error message "xlibi extension "RANDR" missing on display ":1.0"."; though it does eventually come up. However, it has trouble programming the Pi Co-Op. My error messages are:
"avrdude-original: stk500_recv(): programmer is not responding"

Hi James,

Welcome to the forum. :) What operating system are you using? I'm assuming Raspbian, can you tell me the version so that I can try to recreate the bug please?

Also, when the programming doesn't work, is it a constant error? Does it wok if you retry the upload?

Regards

Alan
