We are a prototyping lab open for projects!
Company: Zalmotek.com (https://zalmotek.com)
Location: Bucharest Romania but we are well used to work remote from our labs.
We've grown with open source hardware, 10+ years of experience in making stuff, countless hackatons and custom projects for clients, started as the first hackerspace in our country, moved to teaching kids robotics(having over 600 yearly atm we call it the hacker nursery) and doing prototypes for clients.
During our free time (yes a have a little :) we take part in competitions, for example we have 2 projects selected for the Hackaday prize this year out of the 400+ submitted, it's going to be interesting to build them.
We have knowledge with (in no particular order): wearables, automotive, smart home, linux embedded development, robotics, chatbots, Internet of things data collection and remote control, industrial IoT. We love to work with open source hardware and software.
We have a clean and transparent workflow: we have initial lock-down of the idea, estimates of time and costs, we get to work while maintain open conversation during the build process, we deliver you the prototypes and we go to the next phase.
So, when do we start building your ideas?

I have too many projects, the ideas for products and services just keep originating in my mind. One solution may be to use some of my limited budget to hire technologically capable people to help me carry them to fruition and complete them. Or we could make arrangement for lab supplies as compensation on a barter type of arrangement. Note that barter income is income that must be reported for taxation just like paid income.
We can work together for the good of humanity by creating new technologies that help people around the world and open sourcing the plans and details. I cannot afford to pay much and my company is not yet established, however when the day soon arrives (perhaps by the end of this month (May 2017) ) that I can use some of my resources for this purpose, I'd like to do so.
Until a compensation arrangement can be made, we can discuss and possibly begin work with each other on some of these projects. Please have a look at my project listing and contact me with your thoughts and ideas!
I look forward to working with people on Hackaday projects!

I have a client developing a small PC board, and we're looking for someone who can populate dev boards for us on a part-time basis - a hobbyist perhaps, or an employee who wants to moonlight a couple of hours a month.
This would be a paid contractor position, US only (we don't want to have to deal with customs).
We would want perhaps a dozen boards over the next 6 months, one or two at a time. The board is small, about the size of your hand, and has SMD components and a few through-hole connectors. We would send you components and the board, and expect you to send back an assembled/soldered unit.
There's nothing special about the layout (ie - no exceptional RF or power considerations), but the new design includes one BGA64 chip with 0.6mm pitch. That one chip will require a microscope and a steady hand to place correctly, and is not something that can be done by a casual hobbyist.
Note that we have people who can populate our current board, but none can handle the BGA chip of the new design. Be absolutely certain you can handle the chip before you respond
Send me a private message here on .IO if you're interested.
(Note: MUST be in the US, and following me or my projects is not the same as sending a message!)
Further:
The boards are easy to test electrically. If you can also do a quick functionality test, determine and fix problems of incorrect assembly and/or make recommendations to our hardware designer, that would be an enormous plus for us.
Pic of client's current board is here:

Over at the #Internet of Condoms, we need a Tinder expert (with no less than 5 years of experiments, as our HR is requesting). There'll be no pay, but we can send you a CondomBoard or two if we like your work. The project we need to be done is under an NDA and further project details will only be disclosed after signing it (involves a human sacrifice). Contact me or request to join the #Internet of Condoms project if you're interested.
I'm a Tinder expert and I know a bunch of other Tinder Experts around NYC pm me

Highway1 (San Francisco, CA) is looking to hire a highly-qualified, entrepreneurially-focused electrical engineer to join our technical team before the (February 6) start of our next cohort.
The ideal candidate supports our philosophy of "teaching startups to fish" (rather than doing it for them)... but can also "fish" as the need arises :-). The ideal engineer matches an ability to see the bigger picture in product (and company) development with an in-depth knowledge of electronics, and has prior manufacturing experience. Desired qualifications include project management experience (or the appropriate temperament to learn this skill set quickly), and strong ability/desire to work on multiple projects at once within a high-functioning, integrated team.
Please send any and all qualified applicants in your networks to apply via the online job link (below)!
