A block occupancy detector for a DCC model railway layout. This design is based on the schematic that is published here: Block Occupancy Detector For DCC Or AC by R. Paisley.

The components required for this board are as follows:

  • LM393
  • 1N5400 * 2
  • 1N4148 * 2
  • Red LED
  • 4N33
  • 220 Ohms * 2
  • 4.7K Ohms
  • 10K Ohms * 2
  • 6.8K Ohms
  • 1M Ohms
  • 2.2K Ohms
  • 10uF/25V * 2 Capacitor
  • 2.2uF/25V

The locations for all these are marked on the board so it should not be too hard to put together.
