Kinda self descriptive :)
I dislike complicated wiring looms in my projects and the RX2 Weather Satellite Receiver (currently on closeout for 50 quid!) has a fairly complicated one.
Connect a ribbon cable from the large header on the RX2 to this board as well as your hardware (volume, switches etc) and your main power source. The board has facilities for a switched volume control and also has a built in 5V regulator for other off-board devices like the LCD display board found here.

Still working on this.
In short it takes the output from the RX2 that would normally drive the 7 segment LED channel display and converts it to LCD.
It also doubles as a signal meter too thus bringing everything together in a single display device.
It can also switch a preamp (or other device) off and on via the relay. This too is signaled on the LCD.
