Adapter board for esp8266 D1 Mini to 14-Pin LCD/Touch display (ILI9341) (model # on board: TJCTM24028-SPI). LCD obtained from AliExpress. Wiring instructions (tested, then made into PCB design) from nailbuster.com

*NOTE: If you want the LCD to overlap the board, solder your headers on upside down (ie. LCD header on the WeMos labeled side).
