Dance Floor Lighting Controller as a tribute to vintage units from LiteLab and Diversitronics. Operates 64 lights in an 8x8 matrix, just like the originals. The project “core” is an Arduino Pro Mini.

Uses the MCP23S17’s 16 I/O lines to address a matrix of 64 LEDs. Connectors are broken out so that there are 8 busses of 8 LEDs each.

Each PCB contains 8 individual board that you “snap” apart. Each board holds one piranha LED and a current limiting resistor. The 10-pin dual-row header uses two pins for ground (return) and the 8 remaining are each used on one board. This allows one to use a ribbon cable to access 8 LEDs in “parallel”. Originally created to build an 8x8 matrix of LEDs with 16 I/O lines.
