Third version of a board I’ll be using to make a large grid of APA106 RGB LEDs. The last two versions used one board per LED; this version has four LEDs per board. This should allow for much faster and easier construction of large grids, and less dependence on accurately cut & stripped wiring to make the grid uniform. 1206 caps have been placed near the LEDs. If the strips alternate direction per row, holes allow chaining of the ground/power signals throughout the grid.

Second version of a board I will be using to construct large grids of arbitrary shape/size out of APA106 RGB LEDs. The first version used a diamond orientation, and the new version uses a more normal square orientation- now all wire connections in a grid will be the same length. The leads for the APA106 were also separated slightly to make for easier manufactuering.

In theory, each one of these boards will hold an APA106 RGB LED, and possibly one 1206 surface mount capacitor. Right now the plan is to link them with matched lengths of stranded wire and build a semi-flexible grid. This is the first effort and may require tweaking.
