555 Metal Detector SMD

Not the best Metal Detector on the market, but OK for a but of fun.

Just Google ‘555 metal detector’ and you’ll find the circuit diagram and more information.

Component sizes: IC1 - SOIC8, R1 - 0805 (47k), C1/C2 - 3216 (2.2uF), C3 - 3528 (10uF)

Coil should be 10mH

Speaker should be 8ohm
