Minimalist Temperature and Humidity Sensor based on the ESP-01/ESP8266 WiFi Board and a DHT22
This board is designed to fit the necessary elements for a ESP8266 & DHT22 Temperature and Humidity Sensor and a 3.3V Voltage Regulator on the smallest footprint possible.
By using the code from https://github.com/tzapu/DeepSleepDHT22, it should be possible to run this sensor off a 3.3V LiPo or two AA 1.5V Batteries for a number of months.
For programming, you’ll need a separate setup. It’s best to use 2x4 female headers on the board, so you can plug-in the ESP-01 instead of soldering it to the board.
Also, if you use Arduino IDE and ArduinoOTA, you can upgrade the software of the ESP-01 over the air.

This board will take a Cypress Semi CY7C65213 USB UART and a MAX3243ECRHBR RS-232 level converter. The Cypress Semi part uses USB class drivers built-in to the OS, so there’s no opportunity for vendor driver shenanigans like “FTDI-gate.”

Input voltage: 2.5 to 5.5
Jump R3 & R6 to use the full power of the amp, otherwise use the 2 voltage dividers R3-R4 & R5-R6 to lower the inputs. Useful for lower wattage speakers or to prevent distortion.
The 10k resistors under the volume wheel need to be 20% the resistance of the volume wheel. If you aren’t using a 50k pot, adjust accordingly. These serve to convert a linear taper pot to a logarithmic pot.
