A simple “astable multivibrator” circuit designed for testing through-hole soldering techniques. Requires two transistors (2N2222 or equivalent, TO-92,) two LEDs, two capacitors, four resistors, and a 9V battery clip. Connect battery to test assembled circuit.
Using 1uF capacitors, 1k resistors, and 1M resistors, the LEDs blink rapidly, but not rapidly enough to call it flickering.
