I use a remote slicer (linux version 2252) with Pi v2252....
Previously when remote slicing it seemed like most work was done by remote with maybe a final pass by the Pi.
Now it seems like the data is sent to the remote machine...that machine logs show the full slice (every layer extracted) and that the file is back to the pi.
On the Pi plate panel it then seems to complete and then start over slicing locally.
The log on the Pi shows it extracting all layers again just as it would do if I sliced locally.
Is this expected? I can't say remote slicing seemed any faster while previously it was....maybe value of remote slice
is limited with speed ups in pi code? But seems odd the remote machine is clearly doing some work I can see it in the system monitor on that machine.
Thanks
Darren

Please, upgrade to latest version manually. There was a bug on build 2240~2252 which could cause this issue.

hmmm now running 2255 but seems that it still crashes if I try to do an upgrade....
requires power cycle to get it back.
Am I correct that the app should stop and then restart but the pi should not go down with this latest update process?
