Adjustable Anti Alioasing

Dear shahin, i tested AA in creation workshop for the number of 15 for AA. it builds models with incredible surface quality. it would be great if AA can be adjustable in nanoDLP.

Re: Adjustable Anti Alioasing

We have on and off option for AA. But quality wise it is close to photoshop bicubic and I do not think we can achieve better result.

Re: Adjustable Anti Alioasing

unfortunately no, but you can compare slice image in which gray region is more intense in CW with AA 15. but thrust me, there is a huge differences in  surface quality.

Re: Adjustable Anti Alioasing

The way AA works should give us smoother border transition. Current implementation on nanodlp side is the most as it could get.
We should compare the final images on two side to see what could be done this regard.

here is side by side comparison, in below image Left with nanodlp with AA and right with creation workshop with AA 15X with same layer thickness. 15X with creation workshop results incredible smooth surfaces.

actually right now i can't print with B9 cherry because my projector can't tolerate IR light due to hot mirror removal (cherry cures only in uv light), but if you look carefully, cad lines is obvious in EC500 resin but it disappears in B9 cherry, because of pigments in cherry, it can take effects on surface quality but according to my experiments, it is not this much.

Re: Adjustable Anti Alioasing

It really depends on resin as you know EC500 preserve details much better than many resins. Also I suspect based on size of details it could be problem with print specs such as cure time and wait times.

Re: Adjustable Anti Alioasing

I think you were right, i made a side by side slice comparison, left side is CW and right side is NanoDLP
i think there is no such a difference between them
