Hi there,
I am trying to get my printer working and noticed a strange thing in slicer logs:
2018/12/10 23:10:48.973252 {"Layer":"34","module":"STL","level":"Notice","msg":"Rendering Layers"}
2018/12/10 23:10:48.977697 {"Layer":"34","module":"STL","level":"Notice","msg":"Extracting Layer 1 - Z Level 0.008333334"}
2018/12/10 23:10:49.347765 {"Layer":"34","module":"STL","level":"Notice","msg":"Extracting Layer 2 - Z Level 0.058333334"}
2018/12/10 23:10:49.713430 {"Layer":"34","module":"STL","level":"Notice","msg":"Extracting Layer 3 - Z Level 0.108333334"}
2018/12/10 23:10:50.129781 {"Layer":"34","module":"STL","level":"Notice","msg":"Extracting Layer 4 - Z Level 0.15833333"}
Pay attention at Z levels:
0.008333334
0.058333334
0.108333334
0.15833333
Layers go with 0.05 step which is what I requested. But why it does not start from 0? What is the strange offset 0.008333334? Is this intended?
Offline
Yes it is intended as exact zero layer will cause issue. On the latest builds slicer strategy has changes so numbers will be different
