Something wrong with display on macbook..

somehow the gray central pane where the model is displayed seems like it is split...

in some sections the model is not showing..however in those sections the drag points do show up but they are missing from the around the model.
I will try to get a screen shot that shows what is happening.


Apparently this failing is not totally consistent....on one Macbook it happens alot, my other one I have never seen it.....
I need to go back to the new one that fails and see if I can get the screen shot.
Both run MacOS 10.14.4
