Can anybody verify if Dashboard camera is working n a fresh install of Stretch? I m not sure this is a bug or if I broke something.
It works fine capturing photos in shots folder, but on Dashboard the image is not showing, it just makes the page bounce as if it's not enabled on the RPi side.
I added a glass window in my VAT that allows me to get photos during the build process.
Using the RasPi camera, and two red LEDs for illumination.
This is my output so far:

As you can see, I am having problems with colors.
Is it camera exposure or iso that I need to fix?
Can anybody provide the correct command I need to use to get a better result?
I had no idea EEPROM settings stay after a firmware flash !
Thanks again Rob !
I just noticed this msg in Terminal:
EPROM version mismatch (EEPROM=V09 Marlin=V41)
Is it something to be concerned about?
I connected an LED to GPIO 18 (with proper resistor) and used python script I found online to verify connectivity etc, it worked fine.
I am now trying to light the LED by typing [[GPIOHigh 18]] in Terminal but it does not work.
Anybody knows what I am doing wrong?
The label in Resin Profile settings says μm/Second but I think the command sent to RAMPS is in mm/m
Can anybody confirm ?
Oops, my eyes were tired last night and I jumped the gun
Thanks for the heads up.
Just a question:
Is M114 reporting in step values now?
Is there a way to have it report in mm?
Rob,
With Marlin-mUVe1DLP firmware I had problems with not being able to increase acceleration, despite the values I used.
Not to mention that mUVe is a branded product and I wanted my custom build unit to be in line with a broader community.
I was about to switch to Repetier, which I had no familiarity with and then I saw your post.
I tweaked minimally to adjust for my steps per mm and endstops, using default values mostly, and acceleration is off the roof now!
That's going to speed up my printing significantly.
I can't thank you enough for sharing your work with Marlin 1.1.x !
Congrats on the initiative !
I was highly anticipated for this.
I will surely test it ASAP !
I made a spelling error in my initial post.
I do overwrite custom buttons with buttons.json and it works fine.
When I overwrite profiles with profiles.json it does not show up in browser.
I found the reason, it was a permission issue, profiles.json was write protected, but I was able to delete it and then transfer the new instance.
All good now
Yes, same msg after a reboot
My Nextion was connected and talking to the Pi but now it's not.
The only thing changed was unplugging the Logitech USB keyboard receiver.
I upgraded to the newer version but it did not change anything.
The output.log in Nextion folder says:
error opening port /dev/ttyAMA0 retry in 2 seconds
The cmdline.txt reads as follows:
dwc_otg.lpm_enable=0 console=tty1 root=PARTUUID=20bc60e1-02 rootfstype=ext4 elevator=deadline fsck.repair=yes rootwait
Any clues guys?
rm: cannot remove '/var/run/wpa_supplicant/wlan0': No such file or directory
It was very easy to restore all my custom buttons on a new install by overwriting /home/pi/printer/db/profiles.json
But when I tried to do the same with Resin Profiles it did not work.
Is there a way to transfer all of them together or I have to do one by one through nanoDLP GUI?
After a fresh install I get this error when I try to connect to wireless:
Connection Error exit status 255 Successfully initialized wpa_supplicant
ioctl[SIOCSIWENCODEEXT]: Invalid argument
ioctl[SIOCSIWENCODEEXT]: Invalid argument
ctrl_iface exists and seems to be in use - cannot override it
Delete '/var/run/wpa_supplicant/wlan0' manually if it is not used anymore
Failed to initialize control interface '/var/run/wpa_supplicant'.
You may have another wpa_supplicant process already running or the file was
left by an unclean termination of wpa_supplicant in which case you will need
to manually remove this file before starting wpa_supplicant again.
Thank you Shahin !
My printer is quite silent and this is a nice way to grab my attention.
I created some text to speech wavs, it gives it a very "trekie" feel.
I used aplay thinking it uses fewer resources than an mp3 decoder.
Only more research I needed to do was how to set the volume up.
I used this command:
amixer sset PCM,0 97%
I have an Autodesk Ember, it uses Netfab for slicing witch does Antialias in Z.
Surface quality does benefit despite the lower resolution light engine.
I can provide a sliced file if you want to examine the .png files.
May I recommend instead of showing the remaining time in just minutes to display it in hh:mm ?
I see.
Is there another way I can grab a shot when the platform is at the lift position and display it on the dashboard?
[[Exec raspistill -o public/shots/[[LayerNumber]].jpg]]
I added this command in the GCODE After Each Layer box but it caused some weird behavior:
It caused the projector to expose almost half the build area at full brightness for a split second.
When I removed the command the problem went away.
If my description is not helping I can produce a short video.
By default, camera capture takes place during exposure.
How could I instruct nanoDLP to take a shot after the lift?
I upgraded to Build 1687, resliced the same file, the error is gone !
Thank you very much !
In the future, I would like to stay on the stable release channel.
When I get a notification about a new release, is it going to be Stable or Beta?
Oops, sorry...
I update the post, thanks for the heads up!
