Is possible to add fine x y calibration with separate values for each?
Now there is only "micron resolution" parameter that acts on both, will be nice to have separate resolutions for x and y

Do you see any measurable difference in x and y resolution on your display or projector?

Of course, this is the reason of my request.
Actually we prescale STL model within Rhino using "scale1d" once for x once or y.
If you print a square and you use a digital caliper, you can test yourself, every DLP is affected by this and other deformations (non linear mainly) due to opticals correction that are mostly ntended for nominal distance projections (2-10mt) and not for short distance.
Dedicated projectors are more accurate, Young Optics' ones example, but professional softwares they usually implement also other corrections like trapezoid, edge distortion, cushion effect...
Now, for 90% users I know dimensional is not an issue, but professional applications they require, like dental and jewelry.

Actually we have worked on image distortion correction before. Beside performance issue, there was image quality loss problems so we have abandoned the effort.
Optical correction will yield much better result.
Will try to separate x/y resolution.

I appreciate, thank you

It is available on all versions.
Great, thank you

Now this is percentage or still microns? and how will work on separate x y ?

No not this one, on setup page beside X/Y resolution there is new Y resolution in micron.

I saw y resolution on setup page, question was about how will this one override them.
Offline
X/Y resolution overrides would effect the Y resolution, if it is set on the setup page. So they only effects X resolution.

It is available on all versions.
So if I model something to be 20*20mm and it comes out 20.15 and 20.20mm, how do I adjust those #s to get closer to the correct size I need? I think right now I am at 47.25 for x/y.

Hello, can you explain your calculation method please for one calibration cube mesuration please?
Offline
If you get 20.20mm, instead of 20mm. To fix the issue you should put -1. (One percentage smaller)
Offline
thank you for your answer. So
20.20/20= 0.99 = 1%
i will try tomorrow. Many thanks for your help.

HI Shahin,
is there any way to override the y resolution for each resin profile?
So I can have unique and separated x and y resolution for each resin profile
Offline
You cannot change ratio but you can change it using resins resolution modifier on profile page
