I saw that FormLabs has an undercut and release tab in their base support to aid in removal of the print very easily. I think this would be a great addition!

I agree some sort of lift tap maybe on the corners or sides of the Unified Support Base you generate with the support system.
Alternately since I often use a large scrapper maybe one whole side of the unified support could have a step or ledge...
