G3D T-1000?

I have recently purchased a G3D T-1000 on Indiegogo. To keep things brief and polite, their customer service is somewhat lacking.

I would like to know if I can get NanoDLP running on the T-1000.

From what I can tell, it is running on a Raspberry Pi 3 and has a custom ATmega 328P-PU based controller. The projector is one based on a HTP 100.

There is plenty of room in the case to put a RAMPs board if necessary.

The tilt motor is a geared dc motor with a YC-52010 optical encoder. It is set up to only go through a 90 degree arc.

The Z-axis is a standard NEMA 17 stepper.

Any help would be appreciated.

Re: G3D T-1000?

First step would be to get firmware loaded onto the 32P8-PU and experiment with that. There are a couple of modified versions of Marlin around and you shouldn't have too much trouble finding something that works.
From what i gather the modified versions are needed so they "report back" to nano DLP when an action is completed , this to avoid having to include pauses in the process to allow time for an action to complete.
If all else fails a Ramps board would be an affordable solution as you noted

Re: G3D T-1000?

I am pretty sure that I have a mega board and ramps in my spares box. I have no access to the original firmware file so I don't want to mess with changing firmware just yet.

On the PI, I can just swap the microSD card and preserve the original configuration.

If you haven't already , head over to the Google+ group. There's a ton of useful info there

I have been a member of the SLA forum for a while now. I find Google+ groups difficult to use because there doesn't appear to be any organization to the information. It seems to work only when you are visiting it multiple times a day and can see everything as it comes in.
