I just got my first SLA/DLP printer and i am using nanodlp with it. everything is working pretty well once i get used to it but i just cant seems to get files to slice correctly. Some files are missing exposure layers and showing exposure where there is supposed to be holes, but only for a couple layers then the rest of the layers look normal. Other files are missing details completely, like the benchy keeps slicing without any of the text or small details. its my first resin printer but not my first printer or my first RPi use.
Is there an idiots guide somewhere?

maybe it does not depend on the slicing engine, but that your 3d model has non-manifold surfaces, so you should monitor and correct the model before slicing

That's why I tried a few popular models like the benchy and there are no issues with the models in any other slicer I have for fdm.
I must have the wrong setting somewhere in nanodlp

Could you share a sample STL file?

ok. I found my noob problem. I was attempting to print the items touching the build plate and oriented flat. i raised the models and print from supports and after that all the layers look correct.
User error as far as i can tell.
