Unable to access nanoDLP

Everything was working fine, then I started having trouble keeping my nanoDLP connection. Would power cycle and it would be good then I'd lose it again. Now I'm unable to access it at all.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Could you share a debug file? (setup page/tools tab/debug button)
If no access at all. Try ping rpi's IP, see if you get any response.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

It could be a hardware failure or SD card corruption.

Unplug and plugin the power to rpi. See how lights on board react. You could partially troubleshoot the issue this way.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

When plugged in, the red led on the board is on and not flashing. A green light beside it is flashing. The external yellow led turns on solid with the external green led flashing.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

The raspberry pi shows up on my routers connected devices, yet can't access the IP address.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Checking my router it shows raspberry at 192.168.0.11 and active.   I was successfully accessing nanoDLP at 192.168.0.13 before the problems. Neither addresses allow me access.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Looks like a network issue (probably IP conflict). Do you have the same issue with other connect devices or it is the only one?

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

No other conflicts. Everything works perfect for 1 to 2 minutes, then the only way I can get it running is to power cycle the pi, then it's good for another 1 to 2 minutes. mUVe thinks it may be a power issue. Odd that everything worked great for a week, now this.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

It is probable but after a minute you should see some blinking on power led. I have seen some strange behaviour due to power issue so try change your power supplier.
Another issue could be conflicting wifi and ethernet connection. Try disable one and see if it effects or not.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

No blinking red light. What is the easiest (noob) way to shut down the wifi?

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Run this command on terminal to see if it makes any effect.
sudo ifdown wlan0

If it works just remove AP from wifi list on nanodlp.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

It tells me it's an unknown command. Purchased a usb charger, 5 v 4.8 amp and still having problems. mUVe said it could be a corrupt SD card so will reinstall that.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

I mean SSH terminal not terminal inside the nanodlp.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Ran it through SSH, still no change. mUVe suggests I reinstall the sd card, so will give that a shot and let you know. Thanks again.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

The SD card was the problem. Everything is working. Hopefully this fixed that layer problem too. Thanks for the help! smile

Very strange and annoying problem. Do you have spare RPi to try?

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Extremely annoying. No I don't. Is it possible that my sd card is full? Might explain why it worked for so long after reuploading the sd.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

The connection problem appears to be my SD card being full. Not too sure as I've now got bigger problems. My problem with layers was to be fixed with new firmware which changed the line

#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT   {36.36,36.36,400,400}

to

#define DEFAULT_AXIS_STEPS_PER_UNIT   {36.36,36.36,1600,1600}

Changed nothing else except minor adjustments on the motor drivers and now I get smoke, lots of smoke. Is that possible from just adjusting the motor drivers? I put a new driver in that wasn't touched and still smoke.

Not sure what's frying, but I can't even get the USB to work.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

If you have any more stability issues, you might have the same problem I did, where my Pi's wifi adapter was going to sleep. Try using "sudo iwconfig wlan0 power off" via SSH. If that works, then you'll want to make it permanent (as that only lasts til you power cycle your Pi) by adding that line to /etc/rc.local. Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

You can checkout free space on both dashboard and plates page. It could be a reason for the issues too.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

I do believe the SD card filling up was my problem. Reinstalled everything and it's been working for quite awhile but now, but once again I'm getting this "suppressed duplicate logs" message. Once I get that, I can't delete the plate and I can't restart because it says it's printing. So it looks like I'll be reinstalling everything, which is getting real old.

Re: Unable to access nanoDLP

Do not forget to expand image after install. Without it there is not much space to use.
