I went to try an update (using beta releases)
nano went through the usual steps but could not seem to shut down or maybe it did but could not restart.
While rare this has happened before and power cycle usually fixes it.
This time not so lucky...:(
So the wifi no longer seems to connect based on the router's report.
No problem I plug in the Ethernet cable and it connects fine.
But Nano still doesn't seem to be running as the browser can't connect (yes it changed IP addresses but I can see what it is)
I can ssh into the pi...I even see the 'pigpiod' process running which I usually associate with nano.
is there a way to restart nano from the ssh window and maybe see why it is not starting or crashing?
or baring that is there a way to reload it without starting over?...maybe force an update and restart?

I did download the tar file to my computer and extract the printer app and diff it against the one on the pi....they are the same.

how do I do a download on the pi and install from the command line...as I said I can't get into nano to initiate an update? Also I was using a beta from about a week or so ago before I did this update.

The way I got the download on my computer to diff it, was to simply click the link in the log file above.
I could scp the archive file to the pi I suppose but then I don't know what to do with it.

okay....I had only done this from the image before but I see you have instructions for an already working pi...I will try that...I have backed up my ~/printer directory already...I don't want to loose my profiles if I can help it.

Just take copy of db folder.
Also SCP printer binary to rpi will enough as static resources are not important.

okay it came back up and even the wifi is back....but on the std release not beta....should I try the beta upgrade again?

darn....I had this problem before when I started with nanoDLP...there is no image on the display....I solved this before my installing a prebuilt image but trying to avoid that now....I am guessing this has something to do with the type of printer I am using (LED lamp/lcd mask with RAMPS board) and the fact that it is somehow oddly oriented for nanoDLP. ... I may have reinstall the image then copy back the db directory...not sure what the guys that made the image did to get things working.

Just copy config.txt file from the image to your rpi.

tried that and rebooted...same story, no display...I notice that in the projector cal tab all the call patters seem to be too wide for the box they are in...I don't remember this being the case before but don't go here often...but I know a full white used to be easy to see on the printer but not anymore....hmmm...could this be related to overscan setting in raspi-config...I don't think that changes with the flash card .....
