Product Description
CAN bus is a widely used bus standard in the automotive industry, and with this shield, your Arduino can speak to devices attached to the bus. The shield is built around the MCP2515 CAN bus controller, and the MCP2551 CAN bus transceiver. The shield is controlled using SPI, and a OBD-II to DB9 cable can be used to connect the shield to your car.
- Implements CAN V2.0B at up to 1 Mb/s
- SPI Interface up to 10 MHz
- Standard (11 bit) and extended (29 bit) data and remote frames
- Two receive buffers with prioritized message storage
- Industrial standard 9 pin sub-D connector
- Two LED indicators
- Seeeduino/Arduino compatible

Hardware great, librairies doesn't work

After some days of work to find out the issue with that card I download a generic library for MCP2551 arduino shield card which work at the first try. So the hardware works fine with the right libraries, It's well produced and I recommend that product.

Good workmanship and an excellent product

This product is well priced and well made.
Once i had soldered in the connectors and loaded the code it worked, first time.
I have attempted to build similar units myself and found this Arduino Shield to be of a very superior quality.
