Redesign of the breakout board for ST Microelectronics' VL6180X proximity sensor for breadboarding with Teensy and Arduino. VIN is between 3 and 5.5 V. Sensor uses time of flight to detect absolute distances independent of surface reflectance up to 25 cm away. Can be used to recognize hand gestures for sophisticated touchless micro-controlling. Small package, low cost, and low power usage makes integrating into existing projects, or use as a Teensy 3.1 or Arduino Pro Mini add-on board very attractive. In fact, VIN and GND can be supplied via Teensy GPIO pins by digitalWrite(HIGH) and digitalWrite(LOW) since total current draw is always less than 25 mA for this sensor. Replaced voltage regulator with TI TLV70728, reduced size of passives to 0402, and significantly improved layout.

Simple circuit using LCM555 timer for clock to operate SN54LV163A binary 1 - 7 counter which drives FFB3904 dual mosfets that control two rgb LEDs which, lastly, cause the owl’s eyes to glow with continuously varying color. Intended as a wearable pendant for little girls and daring men. Runs off of a 40 mAH LiPo.

Appallingly small Teensy 3.x add-on board with 16 Mbytes of fast serial flash memory using an SPI communications interface. Pin out and 5 mm x 6 mm WSON package common to Spansion and Winbond flash chips so either can be used. Board mounts onto the non-USB end of Teensy 3.x or Teensy-LC. Added bypass capacitor and CS pullup resistor.
