This little guy is for adding a Microchip RN52 module to an empeg MP3 player. Features a MAX3232 level converter for interfacing the RN52 to the player and an i2s PCM5102A DAC to ensure high quality audio from the RN52. Twin TPS73133 LDO regulators provide solid 3v3 for the RN52 and PCM5102A independently. Also has a 4-pin Molex pass-through connector with 12V DC and the tuner Rx/Tx wires for future use. Haven’t quite worked out the software on the player end, but I’d like to work on getting the AVRCP commands to work and maybe write to the display with some track information. We’ll see. For now the hardware works great and I’m pretty happy about it.
