The LMS-183DX from Vaunix is an USB-compatible, synthesized signal generators that operates from 6 to 18 GHz. It has fast switching time of 100-microsecond, and 100 Hz frequency resolution. This device can be plugged in and controlled/programmed in to the USB port of a PC. The GUI software can track and control several connected signal generators, simplifying multiple-signal test setups. This device stores settings in internal memory, allowing it to power up in a specific instrument state. This signal generator measures 4.90 x 3.14 x 1.59 in. (124 x 80 x 40 mm.) and weighs less than 0.45 kg and is ideal for automated test equipments and portable LO sourcess. In non-USB applications, this signal generator can operate with battery power or remote power supply. For automatic-test-equipment (ATE) applications, a programming guide is available for this signal generator. In addition, it is programmable by means of LabVIEW software drivers and can be used with any PC or laptop computer with USB 2.0 port and Windows 2000, XP, Vista, or Windows 7 operating system.
