The F1977 from IDT is a 7-bit digital step attenuator that operates from 5 MHz to 3000 MHz. It has an attenuation range of 31.75 dB with a resolution of 0.25 dB and a low insertion loss of 1.4 dB.The attenuator has low distortion (IIP3 of 64 dBm) and extremely accurate attenuation levels. The Glitch-Free technology protects PA or ADC during transitions between attenuation states and results in low overshoot & ringing during MSB transitions. This digital attenuator provides gain control in a wide range of applications including CMTS, fiber distribution networks, HFC distribution nodes, and CATV infrastructure and data network equipment. It also supports the increased data rate requirement of the DOCSIS 3.1 standard.The F1977 is available in a compact 5x5 mm Thin QFN 32 pin package.
