David Goodlad is a GitHubber

We're pleased to have David Goodlad join us as an Anti-Friction Engineer.

Dave's natural habitat is Canada, but he now dwells in his unnatural habitat of Melbourne, Australia, making him truly one of-a-kind at GitHub as our very first Canaustraladian. This hybridization enables Dave to break barriers once thought unbreakable, like inventing and subsequently consuming the world's first French Vegemite Toast.

david-goodlad

While he won't be tackling the physical quandaries of eliminating friction, Dave will be making the lives of Octocats easier every single day by working to remove the pain points in their workflows and tools.

Follow Dave on GitHub or Twitter as @dgoodlad.

Christopher Frederick is a GitHubber

We're excited to have Christopher join us as a technical writer, focusing on documentation for Github Enterprise. He resides in 名古屋 (that's Nagoya, Japan).

Follow him on GitHub or Twitter as @kansaichris!

Sheri Bernard is a GitHubber

We're happy to welcome Sheri Bernard to our Documentation team. She joins us from Seattle, the land of a little-known artisanal coffee shop called Starbucks. She's going to assist us in leveling up our help documentation. In her spare time, she makes jewelry, reads banned books, and wistfully stares westward while contemplating the meaning of obscure words.

Sheri

This week marks Andrew's first at GitHub on the .com team. We're excited because he's lending his expert skills to helping us with all things discovery and explore.

You should probably be aware that she has appeared on wheel of fortune and is a 2x collegiate dodgeball champion.

Does she hold the credentials to sit in the Oval Office? Why yes, glad you asked. Her past political campaign "Be a good voter, vote for Haley Yoder" elected her the 5th grade VP Candidacy spot; she was a true trail blazer for gluten free hot lunches and extra recess time. Did she avoid scandal? C'mon, She is only human.

Rob Rix is a GitHubber

This week marks Rob Rix's first week as a GitHubber.

Rob joins us on the GitHub for Mac team where he will be putting his many years of experience on the platform to good use.

He hails from London… Ontario, which—I am reliably informed—has very different weather to London, UK.

You can find him on GitHub and Twitter.

Caitlin Cooke is a GitHubber!

Caitlin Cooke comes to GitHub to take on hiring for technical roles. She'll help give candidates a great experience before joining the GitHub Family!

She loves all kinds of video games and making magic happen for candidates as they find their way to their dream jobs. She also loves burritos from a popular national chain named after a pepper.

She's @caitbit on GitHub and Twitter.

Lisa Pearce is a GitHubber!

Lisa joins GitHub's expanding Hire team as the new Hiring Coordinator. A Northern California girl born & raised, she loves nothing more than rocking out to Phil Collins while baking cookies in preparation for epic board game nights.

Oh Lord...

Lara Owen is a GitHubber!

Lara joins us as the Office Operations Manager, here to help make the office and everyone's experience in it even more awesome than it is now. She's a six-foot-tall redhead who enjoys whisky, sloths, bacon, high heels, and world travel. Preferably all the same time.

Arfon Smith is a GitHubber!

You might know Arfon from his thesis on Dust and Molecules in Interstellar, Circumstellar and Extragalactic Environments or maybe from his work co-founding the Zooniverse, but we know him as a genuinely stellar human with a passion for science and open collaboration and this week we couldn't be more excited to welcome him to the GitHub team.

Find him as @arfon on GitHub. Follow him on Twitter. And stay tuned for more GitHub Science goodness coming your way.

P.S. This galaxy-gif-fest is made up of over 30,000 images taken from the Sloan Digital Sky Survey.

Kate Tokar is a GitHubber!

Kate Tokar joins GitHub as an Executive Assistant to help Eric Hall and the Sales team. Hive-five!

Brand new to SF, she has previously lived in El Salvador, Florence, the Adriatic Coast of Italy, Philadelphia, NYC, and Madrid.

She once worked for a Spanish Count. Not @vmg. Or this one... count_von_count_kneeling

Kate can be found at @katetokar

Scott Barron is a GitHubber!

With a GitHub username like @rubyist and an enviously low user_id, it's amazing we've taken this long to hire Scott. We know Scott from his long standing work in the Ruby community, his notorious Michigan upbringing, and his love of huskies. We are really excited to see his engineering expertise and knowledge turned loose on our product.

You can keep up with Scott's work on GitHub or find him on Twitter waxing philosophical about the A-Team.

Sally Lehman is a GitHubber!

We're pleased to introduce Sally Lehman to our team to take on most things email-related.

She's obsessively inquisitive about email delivery, reputation and infrastructure, so emails get delivered reliably and fast. She also loves purple vegetables. :eggplant:

2691b8a6-1efe-11e3-8f82-b5a49368b6c8

When Whitney isn't helping wrangle all the GitHubbers, she snuggles kittens, appreciates Angela Lansbury, and shares amazing stories about growing up in Texas. She also leaves a trail of rainbows wherever she goes.
