Do you have a 3D printer?

Interested in getting prints done, but have no printer?

Let's help each other printing more stuff :)

Will be interesting to see where it goes, lots of accumulated know-how about 3D printing on LMR!  Maybe in the future a "Start Here" 3D printer designed, tested and used by LMR Repraff \o/

Is this club just "I have a printer" or "I want stuff printed"?

I'd like to see reviews of the different software available for:

  1. Generating the 3D design
  2. converting the 3D design to G-code
  3. for driving the 3D printer

This would help beginners get started quicker. A list of things you shouldn't do and how things go horribly wrong when you do them would be both educational and funny.

I am considering how we can/should look at 3D printers: New community, linked community, LMR section.. Not sure yet, am investigating, all input are very welcome, thanks!

Right now I have a Chinese knockoff of a "Thing-O-matic" sitting on my desk that I have not had time to setup.

If there were reviews on the different software available then it would be very helpful for a beginner like me.
