I've got a stock PolargraphSD which came originally with a 9V 1.5A power supply. Unfortunately someone in my lab left the power supply somewhere else.

Now i've got a 5V 1.5A and a 9V 0.5A power supply. With both the servo does not lift anymore.

What's the maximum voltage of the power supply? May i use a 12V 2.5A, too?

Hi Michael, 12V is ok - you might need to adjust the power setting on the motor drivers (the little screws). https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xqPWojmU7y4 has some info on it.

That said though, I would have thought both the 5V and the 9V would have powered the servo ok. Are you sure you've got it wired up correctly? http://www.polargraph.co.uk/setup/polargraphsd-connections/ for a guide.

It works with both power supplies. The connectors were torn out.

Aha! Problem partly solved I guess. Can you repair the connectors?
