It isn't practical for me to give a guide on how to use linux - even if I was the expert.

However:

$ ./controller/application.linux64/polargraphcontroller

Hello Robo, welcome. As a linux user, I expect you know how to use the linux file system. How to navigate around it and execute programs. I am not an expert, so I cannot in good conscience offer advice. However, I can relay my experience: When I have extracted the zip to a directory, and I change to that directory, I can run the program as I would run any script in linux:

./controller/application.linux64/polargraphcontroller

I'm really sorry I can't be more expansive than that - it's tricky enough keeping on top of support for the polargraph itself, never mind supporting the basics of how you should use your own operating system, and I've got to mark a boundary somewhere.
