Post Adjustment of measures

Hello,

First of all congratulate the creators of this great project πŸ˜€ and forgive me for my low level of English.

I have finished my machine, and now I work with the software.

I use arduino one and a cnc shield, with the latest version of polargraph.

My pulley is 82 mm / rev, I use two steppers of 200 p / rev, the driver is at 4 micropasses.

The problem is that when I move the machine or draw something, the movements of the machine are much greater than the ones I have sent in the controller and it always leaves the margins.

I have tried to scale the measures of the machine, change micropasses, and other parameters but nothing fits the real measurements 😑

Attached configuration, if any can help me. Thank you very much!!!

In the attached image, you have steps per rev at 400, rather than 200.

Hi, thank you very much for the answers.

Indeed, I have tried with the value 200, 100, 50 and also of 800 and 1600. But I do not find values for correct movements.

In the firmware there is a line that is:

int startLengthMM = 800;

What exactly indicates that measure?

Thanks !!!

It's the length that the machine believes the cords to be upon startup. Until you do a "set home", it will assume the cords are 800mm long.

It's a default and doesn't actually make much sense - it's quite arbitrary.
