It is strange, because before I did see "card failed or not presented" or initializing of card. Now it keeps silent and, of course, SD doesn't work.

You're absolutely right, I'd neglected to test that bit of the mega firmware. I've just fixed the problem (I hope), but you should test it carefully. I've just committed changed to the repo, so you can get the source at the usual place - polargraph_server_mega, and that also includes an updated version of the precompiled binary too (the .hex file).

See if that is any better for you. If not, you'll have to bear with me a for a bit until I get a chance to rebuild a mega+adafruit to test it on.
