Hi

I just made a small python script to send the commands to the polargraph through serial.

It lives there : https://github.com/aethernet/polargraph-py-com
It require python (2.x) and pySerial to works.

Have a nice day 🙂

Cool stuff dZoid, I've had a look and I'd love to see how this works in reality - I mean through the router. I'm also just about to start on some big python projects so I'm looking with a keen eye 🙂

One thing I should note is that the back-and-forth method of checking the integrity of the commands (with the ACK and the EXEC) will probably stop working fairly soon - recent versions of the controller use a checksum appended to the command instead, so it doesn't need an acknowledgement sent - if you need any info about it drop me an email if the source doesn't make it clear.

cheers!
sn

The bad news is that the package repository for openwrt ( router linux distribution ) was down for the 3 last last days and doesn't seems to want to come alive quickly ( they have to recompile the entire tree ).

So i can't install python on my router right now ( and i'm too lazy to x-compile it myself )...
