It's been ages since I had to compile from source and I'm feeling like a noob, 'cuz I can't get it to work.

When I try to compile the version of "polargraph_server_polarshield" found in the 1.2.5 zip, using Arduino 1.0.3, I get these errors:

polargraph_server_polarshield:279: error: 'UTouch' does not name a type
lcd.ino: In function 'void lcd_touchInput()':
lcd:27: error: 'touch' was not declared in this scope
lcd.ino: In function 'void lcd_initLCD()':
lcd:406: error: 'touch' was not declared in this scope
lcd:407: error: 'PREC_EXTREME' was not declared in this scope

I'd continue using the 1.2.5 hex, but there's a vector file in my queue that requires a bazillion pen lifts, and if I don't edit the UP/DOWN values to the minimums my gondola requires, I might go nuts listening to the servo.

It uses to be called ITDB_Touch or something like that, so you might need to move the new one over. I think I put it in the zip, but if not you can get it from http://henningkarlsen.com/electronics/library.php?id=55. There is also a calibration string in one of the .h files that makes it work with the ITDB02 screens that polargraph uses. If you get it from Henning Karlsen's site then the calibration string will be the default one (which usually doesn't work), but the one that's in the polargraph zip seems to work ok.

I've been being driven crackers by the servo lately too, so I think I'm going to break those numbers out to be configurable. The other issue is that the actual sweep of each motor (for the same instruction) is different - sometimes it's a full 90 degrees, sometimes only half that. Seems repeatable for each individual motor, but wildly variable in a batch.

Yeah, still scribbling. Haven't been posting pics because what I've been doing is fairly standard portrait work, only of interest to those involved. The vector drawing I referred to above should be interesting to many, though. Hopefully you'll see something new by the weekend or thenabouts.
